My Movie Cravings

After my musical cravings, I'd like to think I also have cravings for certain movies. Sort of.

And as today is a Saturday, I could movie-marathon from like, 8pm to say, 4am. Ahaha. Eight hours of pure, cinematic bliss! Four movies, four! How grand.

Now, I have exactly four movies at home, all waiting to be viewed. Somersby. The Graduate. Kramer vs. Kramer. 2046. Yup. I have Wong Kar Wai's 2046. I'll save it for last. Ahaha.














Then I'll sleep if I could sleep. And then come late for Sunday's family day. Ahaha. I could already hear my mother's nagging words towards me. Ahaha. But then again, I might just opt to spend the night sleeping and snoring. Who knows?

My Musical Cravings

Yes. Yep. Yup. I have musical cravings just like anyone else. Right now, I’m craving for Christmas carols, especially those from Diana Krall’s Christmas Songs album. Oh, how I wish I could get a copy of that album. What a craving, eh?














For now, I'm listening to Il Divo's The Christmas Collection, courtesy of Inez, and to the Burns Sisters' album Tradition, courtesy of Tita Fely. How's that? I am planning to go on a Christmas songs shopping spree come September. It's not a secret to my family and friends that I kept a weird dislike for that particular season of the year. I can't explain it, but for so long, i almost hated the Christmas season. Then again, we all grow old, we all grow up.

It's about time I stop being a Christmas Grinch.

It's about time I enjoy Christmas and everything that goes with it: gifts, festivities, family gatherings, time away from work, and lastly, FOOD!!!

Can't Get Enough Books

This one should have been posted two days ago.

WOOHOOHOOOOOO!

I’m so happy today. I feel like, say, a kid laden with gifts on Christmas morning. And this is simply because my books are here!!! Yes, the books I ordered online from the ever-reliable National Bookstore arrived this afternoon via the Aboitiz’s 2Go Day 1 Package service. There are now four additional books to my oversized bookshelves, not counting the two I asked Inez to purchase over the weekend and the one I bought from eBay. Hahaha.

Three Songs and A Poem

I have three songs playing in my mind right now, like a repeating playlist in my iPod mini. In order, they are: Ricky Martin’s La Vida Loca, Norah Jones’ I’ve Got to See You Again, and James Blunt’s Goodbye My Lover. After a run of the three, I listen to Andy Garcia reading Pablo Neruda’s Tonight I Can Write the Saddest Lines. Whoa.

These songs and the poem translate how I am trying to erase YOU in my mind, you little witch of a woman. Oh, how could I forget you, how?

The First Day

Today's the first day. Why it's so, I'd like to keep it to myself. It's just, well, the first day.

Today, I asked two beautiful women in my life a trick question. I call it that because it's a very fundamental, literal, basic question. But then again, due to selective perception, it might mean something else to some people. Oh, well...

The question is, "how does one keep a fire burning?". It's a trick question, right? The most basic answer is to feed it. ALL FIRES NEED FEEDING, right again?

So, my dear, adorable, little princess, let me remind you, that all fires in this whole wide world need to be fed to keep them from dying. And as to your cute, little, innocent question, "what the hell did you do to me," I return the question to you now. WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO TO ME?
